This elegant Liberty-style villa is wonderfully situated at the heart of the sleepy hilltop village of Fabbrica, where the magnificent views across the rolling hills towards Volterra evoke a sense of rural living at its finest. Add in Fabbrica's two bars selling local food, a pizza shop, and a well-stocked little mini-market, and you have a convenient and quintessentially Tuscan way of life that’s utterly irresistible.
The spacious villa interiors are stylish and comfortable, furnished with an appealing blend of antiques and modern classics to lend character, flair and more than a little flamboyance to the holiday atmosphere. A frescoed drawing room, library and crystal dining table add an extra touch of grandeur but not at the expense of comfort and there’s an easy charm to the house too, perfectly conducive to relaxation.
Upstairs, four individually styled bedrooms feel delightfully spacious and two can be configured as doubles or twins for maximum flexibility, whilst a further en-suite bedroom downstairs is ideal for anyone in the party looking to maintain a little extra privacy. A beautiful loggia with dreamy views across the valley feels very much at the heart of the home throughout the summer months and is the natural gathering point for coffee, alfresco meals and sampling some of the excellent local wines around the large dining table. Beneath the house, the pool terrace and lawned gardens are set into the hillside and offer the same classic Tuscan panorama and if you are travelling with little ones, there’s a children’s play area with swing as well as table tennis and a boules pitch to keep everyone entertained throughout the day.
Local area
Set between Peccioli and the spectacular medieval town of Volterra and less than an hour’s drive from the Etruscan Coast, there’s plenty of fun to be had in the surrounding area too. Pretty Peccioli was awarded the coveted Borgo dei Borghi (Most Beautiful Towns in Italy) in 2024. Visit exquisite San Gimignano on the edge of Tuscany’s famous golden triangle, head into Pisa to view its iconic landmark or make for the beach and enjoy a classic family day out at the seaside; wherever you go, there’s the promise of a warm welcome and an embarrassment of mouth-watering cuisine to choose from. Closer to home, the villa’s excellent location means strolling out for drinks or dinner is always a pleasure and if nights in under the stars appeal but catering for a large party feels a little too much effort we’re happy to arrange a private chef to help you live la dolce vita.
